Erik frowns, taking in Charles' worried expression and the feeling of unease emanating from his lover's mind.
"I'll see you at supper, Alex," Erik says. The boy knows well enough to scarper when the adults need to have a "talk".
"I was going to tell you," Erik says immediately. "I wouldn't keep it from you - I know you'd only worry."
